I am a Table Tennis England/UKCC level 3 qualified Head Table Tennis coach.
I have been coaching individuals and groups for about 10 years now. I have been coaching full time since April 2019.
I play County standard table tennis still representing Yorkshire. I was Hull's Top 16 Individual Champion 16/17,17/18 and 18/19 and runner up 19/20. As well as local league I play regularly up and down the country in tournaments and have had the privilege to play in both the World Veterans (over 40's) Championship in Alicante, Spain and European Veterans Championships in both Budapest, Hungary and Rimini, Italy.
I offer private coaching on a 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 basis (share the cost with a friend) and group coaching sessions for both adults and children.
Beginners, intermediate or advanced level. All ages welcome. I will cater the coaching sessions around your own personal ability and requirements/goals, whatever level they maybe.
Last season three young individuals I coach won the following awards - the most improved junior (U19) and most improved cadet (U15) in the Hull and District area as well as coaching the most improved junior in the Scunthorpe league.
I also deliver breakfast, dinner, after school clubs and PE lessons in primary schools in the Hull area and local sports centres. I run both children and adult group coaching sessions at the club I play from and currently Chairman - Goodwin Table Tennis Club.

I run an after school session for the local youth club and run our clubs weekly junior beginners and intermediates sessions.

How long do sessions last? They usually last for an hour but happy to discuss longer sessions if required.
Where are they held? I have access to tables at my local club ( Goodwin TTC - Walker Street, Hull) or you can book tables at local sports centres. I can even run sessions at your own home if you have a table and space.
How much does a hours coaching cost? I charge from £20 per hour for one to one or one to two sessions (share the cost). For groups please contact me to discuss.
Do I need to provide my own bat? It helps if you have your own but I can loan you a bat for an initial sessions. As an agent for one of the leading equipment suppliers - Bribar Table Tennis I can help advise you in purchasing a new bat and obtain discount.

How many lessons do I have to book? As many as you like. Why not book one to start with to see if you like it before committing to more.
Can I share the cost of lessons with a friend? Yes, happy to tailor sessions around two of you.
Are you DBS cleared? Yes I have a current up to date Disclousre Barring System clearance. I also have a Child Safeguarding certificare and First Aid certificate. I also have £10 million public liabilty insurance through Table Tennis England.
What does an hours lesson usually consist of? I tailor and write each lesson around your own needs and requirements. Or I write a programme that takes you through all the basic strokes - forehand and backhand - push, drive and topspins and how to link them togeher and develop a game, as well as looking as serving and serve returns, a big part of the game. I use multi ball exercises too giving you the opportunity to hit a large number of balls with the correct technique which develops muscle memory and improves your strokes quickly.
